I think the best way to describe this wine is just to say that it is an Italian Beaujolais. If opened blind, that is how I would have described it. Aromas of candy cherry licorice with just a hint of smoke. Much like a French Beaujolais on the nose and not much different in the mouth, with a very long fruity finish and a touch of sweetness. Really not much to say about this wine, but. Did I say BUT? This was a very enjoyable wine.
I opened this wine to share with a few bites of sharp cheddar cheese and watch a movie after a full day of yard work, but while tasting this wine, l was dreaming of a grilled hamburger. Great value at $20 and very highly recommended for a summer party on the deck.
